Shmulik Sandler was born in 1937 in Petah Tikva and has lived there ever since. married to Zveya,
Father of 2 sons and grandfather of 7 grandchildren. Owner of a family business for refrigeration and air conditioning.
Shmulik heard about the Lions from a friend, who shared his positive impressions of the organization.
Because even at his father’s house he was brought up on the idea of volunteering and doing things for others
and the community, he got fired up with the idea and in 1991 he joined the “Lavi” club in Petah Tikva.
Until he was elected president of the club in 1994, he acted as an ordinary member, mainly for the sake of the community:
Transportation of soldiers on Fridays from the entrances to the city to their homes, including refreshments at the transportation stations.
Celebration of Israeli holidays and trips for the population of the “Anush” club.
Distributing food to needy families during the holidays.
Donations to hospitals: a freezer for the research department in the cardiology department at Beilinson Hospital, a hot and cold water device at Hasharon Hospital, rehabilitation toys for the kindergarten at Gaha Hospital.
