Worked at Bank Hapoalim (senior adviser on the capital market, auditor of foreign funds, member of the committee for losses/and settlements in investments in the capital market in cooperation with the committee established for debt settlements in the Israeli Knesset.)
Activities in the club: Joined the Givatayim Lions Club in 2010, chairman of the welfare committee, chairman of the events committee, blood donation coordinator, president of the Givatayim Sr. club.
In 2016, she joined the Commission – and worked in the following areas:
Secretary of the Commissioners: Adv. Shmulik Sef, Dr. Shoshana Nissim. Member of the Investment Committee, third semester, second semester, first semester.
Member of commission committees: Peace Poster, Leadership, Women’s Gender, Sustainability, Chairman of the Rychwalski Committee, Person of the Year. Secretary of the Resource Mobilization Committee, GMT, as well as ad hoc committees for conclusions on the use of accumulated assets, and Laziness Review.
Leadership courses: two Lions Israel courses, ALLI course in Marcy, France, Commission preparation course in Chicago.
In 2019, she was certified to the commission: due to the corona virus, the certification was done via “Zoom” by the international president Dr. Choi.
Activity as a commissioner:
The year of her commission was characterized as a challenging and difficult year due to the corona virus while adjusting to maintain the integrity of the organization, which adapted itself to work and conduct meetings, events and ceremonies through digital means. The annual activity started from the first week of July, membership taxes were lowered twice and it was approved to charge the Israel Lions a total of NIS 60 per member (instead of the NIS 150 taxes approved at the 58th annual conference).
1. There was a training day for officials and a leadership seminar.
2. The peace poster was made using zoom and first place was won by the girl Keren Asaf, a representative of the “Aboka” club, and her painting was sent to the international ceremony.
3. Scholarships from the Rychwalski Foundation were awarded to outstanding students in low socio-economic status and who specialize in natural life sciences for a total of NIS 22,000, each scholarship is worth NIS 7,000. The scholarships were distributed to two universities.
4. Zoom meetings were held with our twin district M0-111 led by our commissioner Manuela Lott. The meetings included meeting evenings with the cabinet, Shabbat reception, a lecture on wines and wineries, the “Israel from a bird’s eye view” evening, the most exciting of all was their identification meeting during the “Guardian of the Walls” war.
5. A meeting was held with the representatives of the Emirates of Dubai and Bahrain and we were given a brief picture of what is being done there by the coordinator Dr. Augusto De Pietro.
6. LCIF grants – an amount of about 500 thousand dollars was received for the purchase of devices for the ophthalmology departments of Meir, Wolfson and Soroka hospitals. In addition to a humanitarian grant for the victims of the fire in the Galilee landscape. An introduction to Modi’in, a device for testing intraocular pressure for premature babies was also purchased for Bnei Zion Hospital with the help of several clubs, in addition a grant was received during the Corona period for the purchase of protective equipment for the hospitals
7. Scholarships were awarded to 4 choirs that have singers with disabilities, a very moving ceremony was held using the “Zoom”, each choir received a total of NIS 3,000.
8. Sustainability committee tours were conducted, one of them to Ariel Sharon Park.
9. In the “Guardian of the Walls” operation, several clubs organized to send 140 gift packages to soldiers and female soldiers.
10. Screening tests were conducted to examine laziness for kindergarten children by the Givatayim Gor Aryeh Club in cooperation and with the help of the following clubs: Ramat Gan, Ashdod, Kiryat Ono, Modi’in.
11. Between the closings, there were lectures through the “Zoom” on the topics of leadership, sustainability, women’s gender, and a musical evening on the topic “Money bills and coins in the mirror of time.” and commission evenings in “Zoom”
14. Events were held: presidential change ceremonies, commissioner’s evenings, meetings of governors and club presidents, the laying of a cornerstone for the Lions Square in Ashdod, and the sale of honey to the Lions clubs of the “Aboka” club.
15. The New Member Day ceremony was held for new members who were accepted into the organization in the last two years (about 38 members)
The 61st Conference:
Held in accordance with the guidelines of the International Lions via the Internet, the elections for the next commission were held while maintaining the rules of confidentiality.
Conference decisions:
1. Increasing the amount of the donation to the LCIF fund from a total of $18 to $20 per member per year, and a recommendation for other clubs to join and donate.
2. A club president can serve in a position in the organization’s cabinet, except as a commissioner or one of the deputies, and with the approval of his club’s management.
3. Budgetary surplus of a commission year will be transferred to the reserve. In a year in which the surplus is greater than 10% of the annual budget, the Cabinet may decide to transfer the balance of the surplus to the next year and collect membership fees to complete the budget.
4. The conference decides to cancel the decision made at the 14th conference, according to which: “The Commission has the right to hire a salaried mechanism, according to the need and at its discretion.” If the need arises in the future, it will be possible to hire an external party for a short term.
5. In the coming year of the commission, an ad hoc committee will be established to determine a tender procedure for the purchase of services from an external party. The procedure will include precise instructions regarding the service specifications, and criteria for selecting a supplier based on quality and price.
6. Membership taxes to International Lions will be transferred by the club treasurers on two dates, according to the Lionist year: first payment by 07/31, second payment by 01/31 of the following year. Membership taxes to the Commission: first payment by 9/30, second payment by 1.31 in the following year.
7. The insurance premium for the Lazy Eye project will be paid every year from the Commission’s annual activity budget.
Summary:
During the year contact was maintained with the members of the organization: personal letters and holiday greetings were sent, there was close telephone contact between the commissioner and the presidents of the clubs and some with the members of the organization.
